Hooray to me for finishing ONE piece of e-learning homework!

Not forgetting to mention that e-learning day was yesterday.

 

But at least I scored 100% for that online math homework by my own means. No copying, no asking for help.

Pro right.

 

I need to get printer cartridges later on, otherwise I can’t print any homework from IVLE to do.

 

Now that I think of it, it’s quite an irony don’t you think?

We print out e-learning homework.

How e huh.

All the school did was to upload all our homework onto IVLE portal,
we log in, download the documents, do them and submit to the teachers on Monday.

Shouldn’t it be like,
we log in, download the documents, do them on whatever software in our computer, go back to IVLE and submit them?

Best thing is there’s no time limit!

 

Not saying that this whole e-learning day thingo is failed, since Chem and Math did it the proper way.
But it just feels like a long weekend with much homework.

Something inside this heart has died.

TIRED. mentally

I’m just really sick of this going to school and chionging homework every single day life.
But suck it, I can’t do anything except to finish them.

Okayyy I did improve from last term. But if not for the moderation of marks by the school, I think I’d have not passed the promotion criteria anyhow -.-

Don’t even know if the moderation system is good or not.
It makes lousy people lazy to study ( just like me).
I realised my Arts are seriously better than my Sciences  zzz which is bad cos I never really considered myself as an Arts student.

Let’s see,

last term I had an E8 for Chem and D7 for Phy, A2 for Bio.

Mid years my Physics passed due to moderation , B4 for both Bio and Chem ):

SIGH should I change my mind and take another subject combination next year~~?

 

Gah whatever sad things aside.
I’m too tired to worry about results anyway. Orientation and PVC are giving me enough problems.

CROSS COUNTRY 2009

For the first time in my whole 4 years in RV, I took part in competitive category(!)
All because of Qiaowei’s bugging. Tsk tsk.

Actually I still can’t believe I agreed to join competitive HAHAHAHA.
I’m always a slacker when it comes to these kind of things :/

Didn’t win anything lah of course, but whatever I ACTUALLY JOINED! ZOMG.
Zzz. Was almost late for the race in the morning cos I didn’t know how to get to West Coast Park so I just followed the crowd.

Cross country this year was surprisingly SHORT.

After Cross Country, met up with Veron and Boo in the middle of the field (-.-).

Headed down to Clementi’s Rotary Family Service Centre for our group’s interaction day!
THE KIDS WERE SUPER ROWDY YESTERDAY.
Must be because they too excited to see all of us~ HAHAHAHA.

But seriously yesterday we had to shout and scold so much.
And I realised Boo is very scary 

Of course, the best thing to do is to say

Got back our 3 papers for Sciences today.

Hmm how should I put this.

 

I did really badly. Way below my expectations.

 

Physics I know lah, I know I’ll score some shitty marks.

 

But BIO AND CHEM?

I was really disappointed with myself especially when I got back my Chemistry Paper.

I expected so much more.

And somehow, I felt really bad to Mr Lee.
Even though he sometimes really teaches some things which I can’t understand :X

At least he was the only one (teacher) that really acknowledges me for my proposals written.
And I can see sincerity when he talked to my parents.

He believed that I failed my first exam because the paper was too hard and that I’m actually smart.

This midyear paper I thought it was relatively easy.

But,

sigh.

 

Bio was equally disappointing.

Now I don’t know what to expect out of the rest of my subjects.

Currently having really mixed feelings.

I don’t know what I should do.
Though I know I don’t really have much of a say.

My exams are not entirely over yet.

But it’s 3 more days to our last paper!

Although I really want to forget and stop talking about exams,

I need to get this off my mind.

I think I screwed my HCL P1 , SS (second question) , PHYICS, and Bio quite badly.

Chinese essay is don’t need say one. Sure flunk.
Situational writing was terribly out of point.
I only realised it after I finish writing the essay. Zzzzzzz.

Then SS!
Bloody hell, my instincts told me that a question on ASEAN would come out.
IN THE END THE DAMN UN CAME OUT AND I TOTALLY DIDN’T MEMORISE ANY EXAMPLES FOR IT.
Crapped out an entire one an a half page (not bad already lah hor) of nonsense.
Was trying very hard to remember what I overheard from the class when we had self study about the Rwanda killing between the Huttis and Tutsis.
(And I don’t even know if I got the names correctly -.-)

I got owned by Physics as usual.
It just has this curse on me I have no idea why.

Bio was a major -.-
Number 1, I didn’t prepare fully for this exam.
Number 2, I was trying to use my most logical sense to answer all the questions i.e. I didn’t know how to answer the questions in Bio terms
and
Number 3, I spent like half an hour trying to write out my essays because I had nothing to write and I had to squeeze every word out of my brain.

 

Okay everything’s out of my chest. Phew.

Pulau Semakau!

Yesterday was learning journey to Pulau Semakau landfill!

It was more of a camwhoring session though~ Took 200 photos altogether heheheh.

But that place is so scenic! I would kill myself if I forgot to bring my camera along.

 

 

 

Reached the island and we had a presentation by this guy

Must admit he’s a great speaker.

Very knowledgeable and hilarious.

And our class was super participative, going “WOW” whenever he mentioned some figures. HAHAHA.

Oh do you know,

that our one and only landfill is actually man-made?!

HOW COOL IS THAT.

But we need to reduce the amount of waste we produce already cos this landfill can only last till 2045!

Edward: We tried increasing the land area of this landfill by spending a lot of money to buy huge boulders from Indonesia. But when we put them there (in the sea), they rolled by to Indonesia. Not literally roll back, but got carried by the currents…

Weisheng: Then you all don’t put the rubbish in the rocks and let it roll back to Indonesia?

Edward: (gives an WOW look) OH…URM WOW! So you mean you dig a hole in the boulders, put the rubbish in, put the cover back and let it roll back to Indonesia? WOW!

After the presentation we went to take this guided bus ride around the island.

 

This stupid thing is a freaking 2 million dollars.

What it does is it can carry 5000kg of litter ash at any one scoop.

 

Landfills are not smelly at all actually. 

Anyway below these beautiful grass and trees lie all the litter ash

 

 Hahahaha Gayle and I got really bored and started camwhoring on the bus.

It was kind of freaky when I walked over there myself cos there was this stretch of road after you cross the drain that has no lights AT ALL.

Then at the end it was so dark you couldn’t see anything. Just pitch black.

Thank goodness I remember there was stairs over there otherwise I think I could have tripped because I ran across the dark area :/

We kinda camped outside YCK MRT station after the whole thing ended cos Shirleen lost her wallet and ran back to HQ with Qiaowei and Feei.

What was even more scary was when they came back and Qiaowei and Feei both claimed they saw this creepy silhouette sitting on a tree.

And guess where was that tree.

It was at that dark spot which I ran across earlier.

Today’s YOG launch in school was okay lah.

Nothing much.

The “march pass” thing was pretty crappy.

Many people were just strolling across with the “why the heck are we doing this” face.

Then the torch relay was nothing really.
At first I was anticipating it to be some very magnificent thing.
I mean Mr C Kunalan is running leh!

In the end I got blocked by everyone else and saw people’s backs instead.

But at least I got to see Miss Ek run!

 

FSD girls performed again today!!

Some screw ups here and there
but apparently most of the school couldn’t spot the mistakes so it’s alright.

Alright, since I’m currently waiting for my downloads to finish,

shall update on the recent horror movie that I watched.

 

It could have been scary if

1. the two girls would stop screaming like the whole theatre’s theirs
2. Veron would stop holding my arm and kept saying “Eh it’s coming it’s coming!!” and hide her face on my shoulder

HAHAHAHA. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout the movie please.

Anyway the girls who scream behind us damn powerful.

The first time I heard them scream both Alvin and I thought it came out from the movie.

And they were practically screaming all the time.
Whenever the ghost showed her face they screamed.
Then we would burst out laughing.

I swear it was super hilarious!

Alright despite all these, I thought that the movie was quite well done.

Nice storyline with an unexpected twist at the end which made me sit up and want to carry on watching somemore.

The ghost was ugly as usual.
(I always have the impression Thai ghosts were ugly.)

But frankly speaking I didn’t  felt scared because many parts where the ghost would appear were quite expected (the result of watching too many horror movies).

The only parts that freaked me out were the gorging out of eyes and when the male lead tucked his bag but in actual fact he tucked the ghost’s hands and he was actually carrying the ghost (!)

 Even at the end where the ghost made the final “Do you really want to see me die?!!?” when the credits came out were rather anticipated.

 

Go catch the movie before it ends very very soon!!

Today was well,

I don’t even feel like talking about it.

CCA was spent doing the YOG cheering thing for tomorrow.

Let’s not talk about how funny the cheer sounds or how uncreative the cheer is because it is practically integrated from parts of our original school cheers.

Let’s talk about how long we actually took to get the whole cheering done instead.

We were being nice enough people to bring the whole company down to be involved in this cheerleading thing.
Did we request for any CIP hours? No.
Did we request for any help in return? No.

Basically you can call this free labour.

And then first thing is, they had to change the timing of the so called rehearsal,
WITHOUT INFORMING US.

Hi in case you don’t know,
we function as a CCA, not any random you call out to help in the school.
We have our own plans too.
The sudden change in time made us accomodate to you all and cancel all our initial plans.
Brilliant.

Secondly, the whole cheering thing got really bad when we had to repeat and repeat and repeat the cheers and constantly act high and enthusiastic.

I don’t know why but I get the feeling that the school is trying to hard to increase the school spirit.

My principal said in the morning “..trying to promote a cheering culture in school, increase school spirit…”.

Please, I don’t see how by cheering everytime someone wins a prize will increase the school spirit.
The impression I get from everyone in this school is “Aiya I get my A1 can already lah. Who cares about the achievements of the rest? It’s none of my business anyway.”

It’s true don’t you think?

And what, by cheering then we will become bonded as a school? Become proud to be in the school?

All load of bull.

Hello we are FORCED to cheer.
We are not doing it on our own accord, like really feel happy when our school whatever team won this and that.

This kind of school spirit, to-feel-proud-to-be-in-this-school thing should be instilled within and not forced upon us you get it?

Now everytime we see the same bunch of people going up to the front, the reactions of everyone around me is the same:

“Urgh not again?”
“Oh cheer again -.-”
“Walau waste time lah!”

Seriously I feel the same way too.

Whatever I said in this blog might cause some controversy in some groups of people but you know what, I don’t really care.
There is no such school rule as “You cannot express your most honest opinion on your blogs” right?
