Today’s post shall just be a spam of pictures and perhaps an one-line caption under it.

Since a picture tells a thousand words,

my blog post today will be a 100000 word essay.

Have fun reading.

PROJECT VIBRANT COLOURS FINALE

Met BinSing coincidentally in the morning and went to meet Veron together~

Apparently the rest are either late or overslept (tsk tsk boo ah) so only got the 3 of us.

Walked up to Telok Blangah Hill Park (where Huang Na’s body was dumped), lagged around and then Hester came!

This was the start of the so-called 3km run to Vivo City.

I kinda forgot what is the purpose of it already :/ but I think Eng Han mentioned something like, it’s something that all of us will do together?

The view from the top.

Actually I’m really impressed at how the main committee of PVC2 managed to get so many sponsors to fund this project.

There’s our patron, Ms Elim Chew (founder of 77th Street) and sponsors like Vivo City, Milo, Standard Photo, Ngee Ann Poly, Republic Poly and so many others which I can’t remember.

Lime green tees!

Our group had lunch at Sakae~~ XIA’S TREAT.

This is basically my entire group,
minus away Boo (who overslept) and Lianghui (who kena food poisoning).

Hahahaha I think I never mentioned this before but our group name’s called

GOOD JOB!

I think I might get killed for posting this, but here’s what I found in the photo collage!

Couldn’t find all the pictures that I’ve sent in ):
But I didn’t had the time to scrutinize every picture anyway.

Cuixia our pretty mentor~~

She’s wearing her sundown shirt under the pvc shirt -.-

After lunch, we did this.

Acknowledgements for myself and for the rest of my group.

I really really like this whole theme on Acknowledgement and thanking the people around you.
It let me see how much each and everyone has done or affected me.

Sometimes your life is moving so fast you don’t get to see anything.

Alright let’s ignore Hest in the foreground (HAHAHAHA).

Just look at the background full of photos!

If you have been there you must surely agree with me that the photo collage was fab :D
PVC2 broke the Singapore book of records too!

Ah, can’t believe PVC2 is over just like that.

3 months of night meetings, calling up our mentor to update our goals, trying to get a freaking beneficiary and collecting photos~
I can still remember clearly the scene at the iChoose Workshop where we first met our own teammates. Except Veron, I knew none of the seniors! :/

Seriously, all 8+1 different personalities brought together to complete things,
it’s simply amazing.

Hmm should I be a mentor in PVC3? :D

INTERACT ORIENTATION 2009

Second orienation that I’ve planned, and most probably the last camp I’d ever plan for Interact ):

Had quite some issues over this entire planning which made me really pissed off and pekcek. I think some people know what I mean since I complained to them :/

But anyway, it turned out well and I’m happy that it’s the way it is!

Some selected pictures are up here. Interactors, go visit the RVIC (http://rvinteract.blogspot.com) blog for the rest of the pictures! Excos, for our camwhoring pictures, just approach me! :D

Only have pictures of station games cos that was the only time I was free to take pictures.

Icebreakers was successfully ran by me :D Yay~ first time eh.

The overall winner of Orientation! Group PASS.
They were at the best station game ever~ Food run! HAHAHAHAH thank goodness I was the organiser.

This is group Lima at Heads on!
Bei Hua seriously looks like someone I know. Hmmmm.

LOL there was a huge screw up early in the morning cos Amanda was supposed to bring the Pocky sticks but we forgot she had campfire preparation -.-

So our game changed from Run, Pocky, Run to Run Chilli, Run :/

Bei Hua: Joycelin, (this game) very boring leh~~!

Joycelin: (gives a pitiful look) Too bad!

Food run for the win! :D

It’s actually captain’s ball the chicken way. HAHAHAHAH.

See Haolong (I hope I didn’t get your name wrong) hold the chicken so happy.

YAY FLYING CHICKEN!

Hahahahaha I know I’ve got good photography skills. Thank you thank you.

I love this game,

just not how the chicken turned out in the end.

My 8 dollar chicken~ ):

This game is called Protect!

Kinda didn’t happen the way I wanted it to be cos that time I played it during P5 camp there were many more people.

The turnout on that day was … alright only, thus resulting in the group finishing the game really quickly.

But anyway we manage to impromptu some scavenger hunt after this game~

And I’m sure all of them chilled after playing with those water bombs woooohoooo.

Group Fire! Yay they improvised the cheer I taught them really well~ Got chinese version one! Hahahaah.

Heads on!

I still remember when we played at PVC2 midpoint check our entire group squatted down.
No groups squatted down during orientation :X

And the beach volleyball is so fun that 2 of the Year 1s took it home ): NEVER SAVE ONE FOR ME.

Is this the B group by the way?

Jing Xuan at 100 second no NG!

She almost puked drinking that whole bottle in 100 seconds :/

I like this picture :D HAHAHAH.

Kenneth told me this yesterday on MSN, “Omg. I look so unglam in all the photos!”

WHERE GOT. You blow balloon only what! Tsk tsk.

After station games it was amazing race!

DIDN’T GET TO TAKE A SINGLE PICTURE DAMN.

Cos Alvin and I stayed back at West Coast Park to clear the mess and look after their bags. Apparently 2 of the Year 1s lost their belongings :O

But it was kinda fun cos we were entertaining many calls from the interactors, lying on the floor staring at bees and a mouse running past, camwhoring and playing volleyball for self entertainment.

The interactors were late by half an hour!

I swear all of them looked super shagged when they got back :/

The interactors we had at the end of the day :D

Really glad some came halfway through and the rest remained with us throughout~

RVIC!

I went round thanking every station master I saw that helped out at the end of the orientation.

If I hadn’t, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Really grateful that they sacrificed their time for this orientation. Had a lack of manpower :/

My face looks really red and swollen in the pictures cos I had a sunburn -.- And my hair made it looked worse.

But whatever who cares~ I can’t look nice all the time anyway.

NCC CIP WITH LAKESIDE FSC

Headed down to MacRitchie Reservoir early in the morning with Vale Qiaowei Liqin and met with the rest~

The kids that we were expecting were P1-P2 from Lakeside Family Service Centre!

Only got briefed on the day itself :/ But anyway I’m the group fac with Weikiat Feei and Weiqiang.

Basically there was supposed to be some icebreakers and games planned for them in the first half of the day.
But kids were kids afterall, couldn’t get them to settle down :/
They were even harder to manage than RFSC kids

Overall I can’t really say it was a very fulfilling experience but it taught  me that I still don’t know how to stop kids from running around.

(I had the same problem at RFSC yesterday. Thank goodness there was Jadsen~ HAHAHA.)

Our tour guide for the day!

HAHAHAH OKAY NO LAH. He’s actually our teacher officer (and my chem teacher) :D

LOL I got darn small eyes.

My fellow group fac and station master.

Had lunch at Longhouse and proceeded back for a trail around the reservoir.

Okay byebye, I’ve got nothing to post.

Searching for that piece of memory

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2, school by joycelinwong on May 28, 2009

Okay my parents didn’t comment anything about my results.

YET.

I only left the progress report on the table and walked away~

Okayyy I did improve from last term. But if not for the moderation of marks by the school, I think I’d have not passed the promotion criteria anyhow -.-

Don’t even know if the moderation system is good or not.
It makes lousy people lazy to study ( just like me).
I realised my Arts are seriously better than my Sciences  zzz which is bad cos I never really considered myself as an Arts student.

Let’s see,

last term I had an E8 for Chem and D7 for Phy, A2 for Bio.

Mid years my Physics passed due to moderation , B4 for both Bio and Chem ):

SIGH should I change my mind and take another subject combination next year~~?

Gah whatever sad things aside.
I’m too tired to worry about results anyway. Orientation and PVC are giving me enough problems.

******

CROSS COUNTRY 2009

For the first time in my whole 4 years in RV, I took part in competitive category(!)
All because of Qiaowei’s bugging. Tsk tsk.

GO BUY 4D!~

Actually I still can’t believe I agreed to join competitive HAHAHAHA.
I’m always a slacker when it comes to these kind of things :/

Didn’t win anything lah of course, but whatever I ACTUALLY JOINED! ZOMG.
Zzz. Was almost late for the race in the morning cos I didn’t know how to get to West Coast Park so I just followed the crowd.

Cross country this year was surprisingly SHORT.

MINOTAUR WON OVERALL HOUSE CHAMPION AGAIN~~! WOOHOOOO

After Cross Country, met up with Veron and Boo in the middle of the field (-.-).

Headed down to Clementi’s Rotary Family Service Centre for our group’s interaction day!
THE KIDS WERE SUPER ROWDY YESTERDAY.
Must be because they too excited to see all of us~ HAHAHAHA.

But seriously yesterday we had to shout and scold so much.
And I realised Boo is very scary

Of course, the best thing to do is to say

” Okay if you all want the sweets, you all better sit down now…”

:D

Now for some pictures~~

LOL we went to Uncle Sam’s to eat (hint hint).

Hi boo, you look exceptionally huge here.

(Eh I just realised we are all from different levels leh! HAHAHAH)

Veron was complaining her ice is white and took all of them out -.-

DISGUSTING RIGHT WAH PIANG.

Bought sweets and reached RFSC early to set up the place.

Was playing and joking around until Jelly Jelly came in LOL.

I was supposed to be in the picture but Jelly Jelly blocked me!

Veron: (looks at camera) EH SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE’S NAKED! HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hahahahah Wenhow!

Super super cute boy, you should seriously hear him talk :D

Sorry, there’s a spam of his photos cos he’s really very cute!

Gwen! She’s Wenhow’s sister~

The kids like to jump ball a lot. I don’t know why. I’ve always hated it cos I never got the ball -.-

Kids like to cry a lot. Cos they think that’s the easy way out :/

LOL they were in the process of fighting.

Apparently Xavier (blue pants) and Hafiz already started their fight -.-

That guy on the right is hyperactive like siao. Don’t know his name though :/

Xavier is the most hyperactive one lah, but !! didn’t take a picture of him ):
\

I’ve got small eyes~~ and a huge flat nose~~ HAHAHAHA.

Interaction Day was fun!

Learnt that managing a bunch of kids are really tough work :O
Especially when they all have clashing personalities.
******

Omg Joycelin Wong, hang in there.

Your super busy week is gonna end very soon!

busy bee

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2, life by joycelinwong on May 21, 2009

I won’t be blogging so often now.
Awwww I can see your disappointed faces.HAHAHAHA

Busy with interact orientation camp proposal, NCC open house and PVC2 stuff.

PVC2 finale is coming in one week’s time

The 3 month journey seemed so short. Sigh.

But I can’t wait to see the giant photo collage that’s gonna be put up!

I hope the photo collection drive at South View Primary is doing fine~

HI PEOPLE LAST CALL FOR ANY PHOTO ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS!?

I’m printing the second batch of photos I have this weekend.

Oh oh and please do come down to Vivo City this Sunday (31st May) to support PVC2!
If you’ve donated photos, all the more you must go and find your photo in the collage!

*****

Right after PVC2 will be a whole lot of events -.-

Eventful but tiring.

Interact Orientation, NCC CIP@ MacRitchie, Guides Campfire, Heartbeat concert (? the stupid person never get back to me -.-) and ACE Camp.

Looking forward to ACE Camp :D

And zomg I totally gotta save up cos GSS is coming up!!!!!!

NEEDS RETAIL THERAPY TO TREAT MYSELF
though my results suck.

Speaking of results,

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT MY ARTS ARE ACTUALLY BETTER THAN SCIENCES?! OH GOD.

(Except for Chiense lah. I don’t really have faith in my Chinese even though I speak mandarin quite alot.)

I don’t feel like commenting on my results zzz. I just know that I gotta study real hard for the next semester otherwise I’ll die pretty badly.
Like seriously.

I sorta have some obligations to do well in my studies zzzz.

*****

Ah, I don’t know what else to blog about.

Watching Angels and Demons with Alvin and Veron this Saturday! YAYYYYYY.

the legal way

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2, ncc by joycelinwong on May 19, 2009

Left school kinda early today for South View Primary.

Only attended PE and Chem Prac lessons

The primary school kids are DAMN CUTE(!!)

I felt like kidnapping them lo~

You know they will do this ONE SILENT CLAP thing, answer/greet the teachers super loudly as a whole, bang together when it’s baris sedia and say the pledge so loudly until the whole hall is booming with their voices.

SUPER CUTEEEEEEEEE!!!

I wonder if I was like that last time~

Anyway my presentation was terrible.

I stood up on the stage and once I stared down at the kids I instantly blanked out  and started saying some nonsense.
I don’t even know what I was saying.

I think I got stage fright. -.-

I’ve never given a presentation to half a school before, then somemore they off the lights, make me more scared cos I can’t see their eyes.
I thought I would do alright at first you know! Cos presentations were not really a problem to me if I know what to say.

But then walau -.-, for the first half of the presentation I wasn’t making sense.

(Okay lah maybe partly is because I not used to Lianghui’s slides cos I only saw once. BUT STILL!)

Never mind at least they are Primary school kids. Like they will remember me like that.

Zzz I think it’s high time I polish my presentation skills already.

CCA today was okay.

Saw some jokes at the Part Cs today.
Some people were mopping the floor with the rifle when they were told to do leopard crawl zzz.

Seriously need some revision before their Spec course.
Cannot lose face! HAHAHAHA.

Okay lah whatever, I just want them to do their best.
We trained and prepared them so hard just for those 4 days.

SOOOOO PART Cs, WORK HARD(ER) OKAY!

These wounds won’t seem to heal

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2, movies by joycelinwong on May 14, 2009

Uh I know this is kinda late, but

EXAMS ARE OVER~~~~~~

(On Tuesday)

My method of celebrating that holy day was to head down to Xinmun’s house with Gayle for rented movies, oven-toasted pizzas (that tasted quite uncooked at the bottom) and popcorn!

Some joke happened at Video Ezy but we finally got our movies in the end :D

Not too bad a movie~

Interesting plot with a nice twist.

But would be better if more action were involved!

I WATCHED HALFWAY AND LEFT FOR PVC2 MEETING AT CLEMENTI D:

It wasn’t too bad considering I like watching people dance.

And the guy is good-looking :D

*******

Today was spent stoning in class, sleeping during assembly talks, rfsc@clementi with Veron and dinner with her and Sis.
Chinese lesson was like the best man.

LKC just had to ask me “Do you think you wrote correctly?” and it ruined my entire day.

Okay no, actually I knew long ago, instantly after I finished writing my essay, that I would fail my essay.
So whatever don’t care.

Zzz actually I care.

I die also must pass O level HCL this year. I DON’T WANNA TAKE CHINESE AGAIN.

Not that I HATE Chinese, in fact I like speaking Mandarin.

But I can’t for god’s sake write an essay or do comprehension or anything like that.

Assembly talk was some rubbish.

Headed down to Rotary FSC to play with kids after school.

Well no, Interact has not changed back to doing RFSC for ongoing service, but rather my PVC group went to find RFSC for our service. :/

Felt quite paiseh too cos we were the ones who rejected to offer our help to that place.
(Although I don’t mind helping out there lah~ I thought it was pretty fun)
I must say,

kids now are WEIRD.

Really weird.

LOL Veron and I both freaked out with a few of them.
The last time (Year 2) I went there they weren’t like that! The kids were innocent and well, kids.
This time round I went back and the new kids have girlfriends and boyfriends and kiss and knows what sex and cock and zomg my blog needs to be rated if I continue typing on.

But nevertheless, the kids are super duper cute!

Wenhao even wanted to bring Veron home!
“姐姐跟我回家!”  HAHAHAHAH.

Had dinner, talked cock sing song play along and came home.

Now it’s 12am and GOOD MORNING I NEED MY SLEEP.

Bye.
Ps. Will this ever stop?

PROJECT VIBRANT COLOURS PHOTOS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2 by joycelinwong on April 13, 2009

“When was the last time you told someone how much you appreciate them?”

“When was the last time you took part in a record breaking event?”

- As quoted from http://www.projectvibrantcolours2.com/

Indeed, when was the last time?

Family.

When was the last time you ever said “I love you” to your family members and really meant it?

You parents are the ones who have gave you all you ever had;
they are also the people who had sacrificed their time and effort to raise you up.

Your siblings are the people that grew up with you.
They’ve been your playmates since young.
When your friends in school all decided not to friend you, they are the people you turn to.

Have YOU thanked them for  these?

*

Friends.

How many of your friends have come and go just like that?

They’ve definitely impacted your life in one way or another :
A good listening ear,
A shoulder to cry on,
A lunch buddy,
A tutor.

Have YOU thanked them for  these?

*

Now play a song, close your eyes, relax and think.

Think about how many people has left a mark in your life. Think about what they’ve done.

Have you ever acknowledged them?

WELL, NOW IS THE CHANCE FOR YOU TO DO SO!

(hahaha my main point is here)

Take part in Project Vibrant Colours 2 now!

As part of the project we are collecting photo acknowledgements which will be showcased at Vivo City on the 31st May.

The whole PVC2 is gonna piece all the photos that we’ve collected together to form a gigantic photo collage which we aim to break the Singapore record of the BIGGEST PHOTO COLLAGE EVER.

All you have to do is to follow these 3 steps:

1. Produce a 4R photo of the person (it doesn’t have to be a solo picture of the person)

2. Write your acknowledgements ON the photo itself (i.e. what you want to say to the person)

3. PASS IT TO ME!!

Alternatively, if you want, I can help you develop the photos :D

Just send the photographs to music-fanatic@hotmail.com.

30 cents per photograph and I’ll meet you up so that you can handwrite the messages on top.

This is not limited to my friends only.
Any random passerbys who happened to read my blog can do this too!

The important thing is to spread the love to people around you and make them feel appreciated~!

So what are you waiting for?

DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT NOW!

PS. Please contact me via MSN/email music-fanatic@hotmail.com if there’s any questions.
Contact number will be given if required.

Feeling weak and sickly all over.

Congrats Joycelin, tomorrow’s start of term 2 and this is how you’re gonna  start it!

Urgh, I hate the miserable feeling of being ill.
Was stuck in bed for almost the whole day today (minus away the fact that I went to the cemetery early in the morning).

Came home and my cousins started playing the computer, don’t know what stupid games they were playing also.

So basically I just went to sleep and the next thing I knew,

I woke up at 5.00pm.

Skipped lunch. Hmmm not bad.

*****

Friday

Friday was crazy.

Met out with Winnie and went to Bugis.

Damn crappy lah we didn’t had any money to shop at all!

But we ate at Sakae Sushi in the end.

I’m so gonna swear off sushi.

Even though the top two are my favourites (not forgetting unagi).

But I get disgusted whenever I think of sushi and Japanese food. Right, Winnie?

Oh god.

We were so bloody full that we decided to walk around and explore.

Walked all the way to Arab Street and whoa,

interesting place.

Didn’t take any photos over there cos it doesn’t seem like a photo-friendly place.

Right what am I talking about?!
How can that place not be photo-friendly when there are models and professional photographers with huge intimidating DSLRs snapping shots at the back alleys!

I think I was too absorbed by all the things I saw there that I didn’t manage to take any pictures. Zzz.

Initially we ONLY wanted to check up some graffiti, then somehow we got lost at this place where many people were smoking shisha

LOL I never knew there were this kind of business in Singapore -.-
Should explore around Singapore more often.

After finding our way out from that place, we headed down to City Hall~

That place quite happening eh.

Marina Square had Sweet Surrender Fashion Show!

This model can’t walk for nuts.
But her cool look compensated it.

Tell me about this.

And then we went over to Esplanade’s rooftop terrace whereby we met this really kind tourist who attempted to help us take picture.
(NOTE: Attempted)

Wah he freaked us out cos he was being really helpful you know. We didn’t even asked for any help cos we were having fun with self-timer shots.

Tourist: You need me to help you all take pictures?
Me: Oh, it’s okay it’s okay (smiles)
Tourist: OH NO NO DON’T WORRY DON’T WORRY.

I kept rejecting and he kept offering so there must be someone that gives in right.

Hmmmm wellllllllll,

thanks lah tourist

This was what went on at Esplanade.

There was an acoustic band at the concourse, but damn, I was too mesmerized by their music forgot to take pictures D:

Anyway Winnie Teo!

We must definitely go on a shopping trip again after your N’s okay~~~

START SAVING MONEY HOR. :D

******

Saturday

CIP at Queenstown CC in the morning.

My tuitee was Iffan!

I let him choose the exercises that he wanted to do heh.
Anyway he skipped the comprehension part, WHICH I HATE DOING TOO, so it’s alright.

He enjoys searching the dictionary and so the last 10 minutes I allowed him to look at the coloured pictures inside.
(I must be the nicest tutor ever~)

I felt a slight tinge of sadness (I have no idea why) when I saw him being so interested in the things and started asking me what is shoulder blade and thighs etc.

He’s P5 leh; shouldn’t be deprived of such knowledge one lo.

Sigh, then I started chatting with him and pretended to be interested in all the cartoons that he watched.
Hahahaha. Not bad, I can communicate with a kid!

After that I went to City Hall for PVC meeting.

Waited hell long cos apparently I went there an hour early.

-.-

The meeting was fine? I was made the secretary and treasurer somehow.

Hopefully all our plans will go on fine (!!)

*****

NOTICE:

Got someone you want to acknowledge and thank?

Simply pass me a photograph of you and the person and write your acknowledgements on the photograph (ie why you wanna thank him/her)!!

Your face will appear in the Singapore’s Largest Collage on 31st May!

Be grateful to the person that helped you in your life today and pass the photos to me!

Contact me either through phone/msn thanks!

Project Vibrant Colours (PVC) was …..

well,

very power and impactful to the mind and soul I must say.

I cried and teared several times during today’s workshop.

Very very touching.

For me lah.

It is by far the only workshop or camp that has left such a great imprint in my life.

Thank you everyone.

But well, PVC has only just started!
Hopefully the next three months would be a fun and enriching experience with my group mates and mentor~~

As to what this whole project is about,

hmmmm I’ll tell you as I progress. Heh.

*****

Ahhh my shoulders are aching like mad due to the carrying of people across web phobia today D:

A big thank you to all the Zhonghua people in our group.

You all are great :D

Hope those who are injured are alright.

Actually I knew this guy called Soif from Zhonghua Sec yesterday through the interaction session.

And when I knew he was from NCC too ,
I was like “Omg friend!!” instantly. HAHAHAHA.

He thought I was a Sec 3 and asked me when was my Spec course -.-

Okay I know I look young~~  Yay.

*****

I think I’m gonna sleep soon.

My physics assignment GG liao.
