Cliche but true,

ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END.

I don’t consider today’s activity as an official handover, but still, we handed over to the Part Cs.

I told myself not to be sad about this day’s arrival, cos no matter what we still gotta depart and move on.

But damn, listening to Nelly Furtado’s song made me sad.

My entire 3.5 years of hard work has really come to an end.

Not typing any emo things down on my blog.

Doubt anyone likes to read them and I also don’t really want anyone to read them.

Will find another place to let out my feelings.

*****

I realised my blog formatting has became really not user-friendly.

All my words are chunked up together. Shall change my blogskin soon again.

Can’t stand too many words altogether. Makes me giddy.

*****

This is terrible, the pictures above remind me of departures again.

Walau what’s wrong with my post today. -.-

Farewell Mr Boey, it was great having you as our form teacher last year.
3C really had fun with you and I know you did too!

All the best for your further studies :D

*****

Zzz. I cannot stand typing this post any longer.

I think I gotta focus on my studies right now.

Seriously I can’t afford to let my grades to slide any further. I’ve got too many obligations to keep it up.

And that sucks.

Goodnight. I think I have to go and worry about how I’m going to pass my physics test on Thursday.

for our champions

Posted in ncc by joycelinwong on June 21, 2009

Their cake was made at Icing room at JP~

This spells, SharliCharlie IMBA!

Champions of our heart!

I wrote the DELTA <3 U!!
Nice right :D

LOL what the hell, I just realised that’s all the pictures I have to post.M

Anyway, my dearest Part Cs,

You all have did very well and all of us are really proud of you all for clinching the awards back!

As for those whom think that they did not do as well, please get over it soon~ Cos I know no matter what we say it won’t help you feel better.
I’ve experienced this feeling before and I know the best person to get rid away this kind of  “You’re a lousy piece of shit” feeling is YOURSELF.

Just know that whatever rank or award you get during the course doesn’t exactly determine who you are.

It’s a form of recognition for your hardwork, yes. But after all it’s only a 4 day course.

Compressing all your 3 years effort into 4 days only is not an easy task at all.

So please don’t feel demoralised, cos we (ex)specialists [SIGH] know better :D

Oh god, I think I’ll prolly bore everyone out if I continue typing these words for my Part Cs.

I really got tons of advice and things to say to them.

I think I’ll prolly type a letter like what Ma’am Shuyun did for us last time. She super imba, 1 whole page of letter, font size 7 or something. HAHAHAH.

Last year’s ROD was right before my interact installation. So I stayed back in school for installation prep after ROD.
Still remember I was opening up my ROD gifts and letters from the seniors at the back of LT4 and tearing while I read through their letters.

Despite seeing all the sad posts my platoon mates have posted on their blogs about stepping down, I told myself not to do so as I really want to end off my NCC life in secondary school on a happy note.
But I guess it’s  not that easy huh.

off for camp

Posted in life, ncc by joycelinwong on June 14, 2009

Last post before I go on to pack my stuff for ACE camp.

4 days at Camp Challenge Sembawang hmmmm.
It was supposed to be RIJC~

Guess it’ll be fun meeting new people and learning new stuff!
Will try and photo blog as much as I can when I come back.

Recently I’ve been hooked up to Pussycat doll’s Hush hush.
Freaking nice song all of you should listen to it!

Nicole Scherzinger voice is super good in it.

There’s two versions to that song though. I like the slower one~~

Too bad youtube doesn’t have proper videos of the song zzz.

I don’t want to stay another minute
I don’t want you to say a single word
Hush hush Hush hush
There is no other way I get the final say~~

*******

The Part Cs are finally going for their Spec course tomorrow.

Really excited for them! :D

I know they’ll do well, since we’ve prepared them for quite some time already.

To our Part Cs :
Good luck and all the best for Spec course!
Don’t worry about any unforeseen circumstances; just put in all your effort into doing every single thing (during the course and after the course).
Never let all the hard work and sweat that you all put in during the past few months go to waste!

Of course, results is not everything.
I want you all to enjoy the entire process and gain valuable experience from there.
Jiayou! The entire RVNCC is there to support you :D

ZZZ. I’m all alone at home again.

Time to do some homework and pack my bag for camp.

Bye.

Just pretend I’m your man tonight

Today’s post shall just be a spam of pictures and perhaps an one-line caption under it.

Since a picture tells a thousand words,

my blog post today will be a 100000 word essay.

Have fun reading.

PROJECT VIBRANT COLOURS FINALE

Met BinSing coincidentally in the morning and went to meet Veron together~

Apparently the rest are either late or overslept (tsk tsk boo ah) so only got the 3 of us.

Walked up to Telok Blangah Hill Park (where Huang Na’s body was dumped), lagged around and then Hester came!

This was the start of the so-called 3km run to Vivo City.

I kinda forgot what is the purpose of it already :/ but I think Eng Han mentioned something like, it’s something that all of us will do together?

The view from the top.

Actually I’m really impressed at how the main committee of PVC2 managed to get so many sponsors to fund this project.

There’s our patron, Ms Elim Chew (founder of 77th Street) and sponsors like Vivo City, Milo, Standard Photo, Ngee Ann Poly, Republic Poly and so many others which I can’t remember.

Lime green tees!

Our group had lunch at Sakae~~ XIA’S TREAT.

This is basically my entire group,
minus away Boo (who overslept) and Lianghui (who kena food poisoning).

Hahahaha I think I never mentioned this before but our group name’s called

GOOD JOB!

I think I might get killed for posting this, but here’s what I found in the photo collage!

Couldn’t find all the pictures that I’ve sent in ):
But I didn’t had the time to scrutinize every picture anyway.

Cuixia our pretty mentor~~

She’s wearing her sundown shirt under the pvc shirt -.-

After lunch, we did this.

Acknowledgements for myself and for the rest of my group.

I really really like this whole theme on Acknowledgement and thanking the people around you.
It let me see how much each and everyone has done or affected me.

Sometimes your life is moving so fast you don’t get to see anything.

Alright let’s ignore Hest in the foreground (HAHAHAHA).

Just look at the background full of photos!

If you have been there you must surely agree with me that the photo collage was fab :D
PVC2 broke the Singapore book of records too!

Ah, can’t believe PVC2 is over just like that.

3 months of night meetings, calling up our mentor to update our goals, trying to get a freaking beneficiary and collecting photos~
I can still remember clearly the scene at the iChoose Workshop where we first met our own teammates. Except Veron, I knew none of the seniors! :/

Seriously, all 8+1 different personalities brought together to complete things,
it’s simply amazing.

Hmm should I be a mentor in PVC3? :D

INTERACT ORIENTATION 2009

Second orienation that I’ve planned, and most probably the last camp I’d ever plan for Interact ):

Had quite some issues over this entire planning which made me really pissed off and pekcek. I think some people know what I mean since I complained to them :/

But anyway, it turned out well and I’m happy that it’s the way it is!

Some selected pictures are up here. Interactors, go visit the RVIC (http://rvinteract.blogspot.com) blog for the rest of the pictures! Excos, for our camwhoring pictures, just approach me! :D

Only have pictures of station games cos that was the only time I was free to take pictures.

Icebreakers was successfully ran by me :D Yay~ first time eh.

The overall winner of Orientation! Group PASS.
They were at the best station game ever~ Food run! HAHAHAHAH thank goodness I was the organiser.

This is group Lima at Heads on!
Bei Hua seriously looks like someone I know. Hmmmm.

LOL there was a huge screw up early in the morning cos Amanda was supposed to bring the Pocky sticks but we forgot she had campfire preparation -.-

So our game changed from Run, Pocky, Run to Run Chilli, Run :/

Bei Hua: Joycelin, (this game) very boring leh~~!

Joycelin: (gives a pitiful look) Too bad!

Food run for the win! :D

It’s actually captain’s ball the chicken way. HAHAHAHAH.

See Haolong (I hope I didn’t get your name wrong) hold the chicken so happy.

YAY FLYING CHICKEN!

Hahahahaha I know I’ve got good photography skills. Thank you thank you.

I love this game,

just not how the chicken turned out in the end.

My 8 dollar chicken~ ):

This game is called Protect!

Kinda didn’t happen the way I wanted it to be cos that time I played it during P5 camp there were many more people.

The turnout on that day was … alright only, thus resulting in the group finishing the game really quickly.

But anyway we manage to impromptu some scavenger hunt after this game~

And I’m sure all of them chilled after playing with those water bombs woooohoooo.

Group Fire! Yay they improvised the cheer I taught them really well~ Got chinese version one! Hahahaah.

Heads on!

I still remember when we played at PVC2 midpoint check our entire group squatted down.
No groups squatted down during orientation :X

And the beach volleyball is so fun that 2 of the Year 1s took it home ): NEVER SAVE ONE FOR ME.

Is this the B group by the way?

Jing Xuan at 100 second no NG!

She almost puked drinking that whole bottle in 100 seconds :/

I like this picture :D HAHAHAH.

Kenneth told me this yesterday on MSN, “Omg. I look so unglam in all the photos!”

WHERE GOT. You blow balloon only what! Tsk tsk.

After station games it was amazing race!

DIDN’T GET TO TAKE A SINGLE PICTURE DAMN.

Cos Alvin and I stayed back at West Coast Park to clear the mess and look after their bags. Apparently 2 of the Year 1s lost their belongings :O

But it was kinda fun cos we were entertaining many calls from the interactors, lying on the floor staring at bees and a mouse running past, camwhoring and playing volleyball for self entertainment.

The interactors were late by half an hour!

I swear all of them looked super shagged when they got back :/

The interactors we had at the end of the day :D

Really glad some came halfway through and the rest remained with us throughout~

RVIC!

I went round thanking every station master I saw that helped out at the end of the orientation.

If I hadn’t, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Really grateful that they sacrificed their time for this orientation. Had a lack of manpower :/

My face looks really red and swollen in the pictures cos I had a sunburn -.- And my hair made it looked worse.

But whatever who cares~ I can’t look nice all the time anyway.

NCC CIP WITH LAKESIDE FSC

Headed down to MacRitchie Reservoir early in the morning with Vale Qiaowei Liqin and met with the rest~

The kids that we were expecting were P1-P2 from Lakeside Family Service Centre!

Only got briefed on the day itself :/ But anyway I’m the group fac with Weikiat Feei and Weiqiang.

Basically there was supposed to be some icebreakers and games planned for them in the first half of the day.
But kids were kids afterall, couldn’t get them to settle down :/
They were even harder to manage than RFSC kids

Overall I can’t really say it was a very fulfilling experience but it taught  me that I still don’t know how to stop kids from running around.

(I had the same problem at RFSC yesterday. Thank goodness there was Jadsen~ HAHAHA.)

Our tour guide for the day!

HAHAHAH OKAY NO LAH. He’s actually our teacher officer (and my chem teacher) :D

LOL I got darn small eyes.

My fellow group fac and station master.

Had lunch at Longhouse and proceeded back for a trail around the reservoir.

Okay byebye, I’ve got nothing to post.

the legal way

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2, ncc by joycelinwong on May 19, 2009

Left school kinda early today for South View Primary.

Only attended PE and Chem Prac lessons

The primary school kids are DAMN CUTE(!!)

I felt like kidnapping them lo~

You know they will do this ONE SILENT CLAP thing, answer/greet the teachers super loudly as a whole, bang together when it’s baris sedia and say the pledge so loudly until the whole hall is booming with their voices.

SUPER CUTEEEEEEEEE!!!

I wonder if I was like that last time~

Anyway my presentation was terrible.

I stood up on the stage and once I stared down at the kids I instantly blanked out  and started saying some nonsense.
I don’t even know what I was saying.

I think I got stage fright. -.-

I’ve never given a presentation to half a school before, then somemore they off the lights, make me more scared cos I can’t see their eyes.
I thought I would do alright at first you know! Cos presentations were not really a problem to me if I know what to say.

But then walau -.-, for the first half of the presentation I wasn’t making sense.

(Okay lah maybe partly is because I not used to Lianghui’s slides cos I only saw once. BUT STILL!)

Never mind at least they are Primary school kids. Like they will remember me like that.

Zzz I think it’s high time I polish my presentation skills already.

CCA today was okay.

Saw some jokes at the Part Cs today.
Some people were mopping the floor with the rifle when they were told to do leopard crawl zzz.

Seriously need some revision before their Spec course.
Cannot lose face! HAHAHAHA.

Okay lah whatever, I just want them to do their best.
We trained and prepared them so hard just for those 4 days.

SOOOOO PART Cs, WORK HARD(ER) OKAY!

So damn beautiful

Posted in ncc, school by joycelinwong on April 10, 2009

Lyrics are crap though.

******

Pulau Semakau!

I think photo is beautiful

Class photo is not complete though D:

Yesterday was learning journey to Pulau Semakau landfill!

It was more of a camwhoring session though~ Took 200 photos altogether heheheh.

But that place is so scenic! I would kill myself if I forgot to bring my camera along.

Reached the island and we had a presentation by this guy

Captain Edward o.o

Must admit he’s a great speaker.

Very knowledgeable and hilarious.

And our class was super participative, going “WOW” whenever he mentioned some figures. HAHAHA.

Oh do you know,

that our one and only landfill is actually man-made?!

HOW COOL IS THAT.

But we need to reduce the amount of waste we produce already cos this landfill can only last till 2045!

*

Edward: We tried increasing the land area of this landfill by spending a lot of money to buy huge boulders from Indonesia. But when we put them there (in the sea), they rolled by to Indonesia. Not literally roll back, but got carried by the currents…

Weisheng: Then you all don’t put the rubbish in the rocks and let it roll back to Indonesia?

Edward: (gives an WOW look) OH…URM WOW! So you mean you dig a hole in the boulders, put the rubbish in, put the cover back and let it roll back to Indonesia? WOW!

*

This was only one of the stupid comments Weisheng made.

But it was super funny lah, the whole class was laughing throughout the whole presentation

*****

After the presentation we went to take this guided bus ride around the island.

This stupid thing is a freaking 2 million dollars.

What it does is it can carry 5000kg of litter ash at any one scoop.

Landfills are not smelly at all actually.

Anyway below these beautiful grass and trees lie all the litter ash :D

Hahahaha Gayle and I got really bored and started camwhoring on the bus.

That was a failed shot by the way. Try spotting us.

This is the wind turbine that is currently powering 12 lamp posts. -.-

They’ve got big plans ahead though.

Yay reached!

Start of camwhoring session!

Germaine!

Aiya Xinmun why you stand so far away from me!!

Xiao Hui!

Shi Jia!

Mandy! Current crazy and random tablemate :D

Yijun! Lab partner :D

Heheheh cute Huijie!

I’m proud of this jumpshot that I took for them.

Woohooo 2 attempts only okay!

This was supposed to be an emo shot.

But someone had to scratch her butt at that moment *stares at Gayle*

HAHAHAHA.

Yay self timer shots ftw.

Miss Goh’s the best! :D

I love the sea!

Being her usual self.

On the ferry ride back, some interesting things happened. But well, shan’t disclose them. HEH

End of trip.

*****

After that I went to HQ to meet my platoonmates~

57TH CADET OFFICERS POP!!

Congratulations Shuyun! Have to call you Ma’am already~~ hahahahaah.

*

It was kind of freaky when I walked over there myself cos there was this stretch of road after you cross the drain that has no lights AT ALL.

Then at the end it was so dark you couldn’t see anything. Just pitch black.

Thank goodness I remember there was stairs over there otherwise I think I could have tripped because I ran across the dark area :/

*

We kinda camped outside YCK MRT station after the whole thing ended cos Shirleen lost her wallet and ran back to HQ with Qiaowei and Feei.

What was even more scary was when they came back and Qiaowei and Feei both claimed they saw this creepy silhouette sitting on a tree.

And guess where was that tree.

It was at that dark spot which I ran across earlier.

Oh god.

******

Zzzz it’s raining and my running plans are dashed yet again.

AND I’M ALONE AT HOME ):

Never mind PVC meeting later on~~

:D

march camp

Posted in ncc by joycelinwong on March 16, 2009

Time check : 1.20pm

I seriously could have slept more if not for my growling stomach.

*****

March camp went on pretty fine I guessed.

Considering everything went on schedule (with slight delays here and there) and we didn’t get scolded by our seniors too badly~

Woohooo.

Though the first day was quite screwed due to some admin problems but everything was solved in the end :D

This camp opened my eyes to many things.

I saw that no one is alone to do something.
Everyone gets help in some form.

It also changed my impression of many people.

Thank you everyone especially Delta for making this camp a success!

:D

*****

So many things to say and get them off my mind.

Shall write it down somewhere later.

Time to shit.

Bye

I call the shots

Posted in interact club, ncc by joycelinwong on March 7, 2009

First things first,

CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS!

You all just created yet another history in RVNCC.

Damn proud of you all for winning Freestyle Drill Competition for West District.

Shows that all your hard work, sweat and pain did not go to waste!! :D

Though I did not get to support you all at HQ today cos I was at PVC workshop D:

But well, I’m free on the 28th! DEFINITELY GOING DOWN TO HQ TO WATCH.

(ehhhh but die, the kids at Queenstown CC how? D:
ALVIN! You help me take over my buddy okay~~ HAHAHAHA. Okay lah see how first :X)

******

Alright I owe people pictures.

Be patient everyone~ My laopok computer is really very laopok.

*****

PROJECT VIBRANT COLOURS 2

Today was the start of the leadership workshop~

I thought that it was rather useful leh!

:D

Though the front part of it was very boring zzz.

The last activity was the max though.
And it created a lot of commotion and people got sad and cried D:

Basically we had to stand on a table and tell the people sitting on the floor why our personal goals are so important.

It was pretty tough for some cos

 1. The mentors were really irritating and kept asking WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT when you just explained why.

2. After one minute, the mentors will flash a situation to the audience and they would start acting to that situation to make things difficult for you.

I got the rowdy crowd one.

So basically after one minute everyone was making ALOT of noise zzz.

And it was bloody hard to overshout them cos the whole hall was hell noisy.

Okay but I thought that I did fine :D

Quite fun actually~

*****

Okay boring blog.

BYEBYE.

Go watch RVNCC’s video on facebook! On SM’s profile~

woohooo

why talk no more?

Posted in ncc, school by joycelinwong on February 18, 2009

So, I didn’t go for the interview at NCC HQ today afterall.

Miss Tan says we’d leave a fantastic impression on DC if we wear school uniform there,
so never mind lo.

I’d be able to skip Physics and Chem Prac tomorrow though~

Actually I don’t feel like skipping Chem Prac,
not cos I want to see Mr L,
but because I don’t want to stay back on one fine Wednesday and do a make up.

To be honest I was pretty “HUH HAVE TO SKIP LESSONS AH.” that kind of thing this morning when I discussed it with Qiaowei.

But come to think of it,

1. It’s not as if it’s my first time.
I’ve been skipping lessons all the time in Year 3.

2. I don’t listen in Physics anyway.

(what an idiotic emoticon)

*****

Bull.

I haven’t polish my boots, prepare my uniform, studied geog.

I’m very tempted to ask Amira about the interview today y’know, since I know she went for today’s one.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Forget it.

I should just pray that I don’t suddenly fall sick tomorrow.

There’s a terrible virus circulating around the class :O

*****

Someone give me ideas on what to do for NYAA please.

Lack of updates

Posted in ncc, school by joycelinwong on January 5, 2009

You can’t blame me for being busy you know.

Let’s do a homework count.

1 Physics Assignment by tomorrw
5 (no, make it 6) Chinese essays by Wednesday
1 Commonwealth English essay by Friday
ICEP board for Orientation by Thursday

The Physics Assignment is the best man.

I didn’t attend the lessons when Mrs Goh went through the topic.
Now I need to self-learn, and finish everything in say, 2 hours?

Gay piece of shit.

*****

First day of lessons was pretty fine.

No major problems with any teacher YET, which is kind of a great thing to happen :D
And I seriously need to change the way I’m speaking.
Even Me myself can’t stand the way I’m talk in class right now.

Hey everyone and anyone if you think I suck, please tell me and I swear I won’t kick your ass. Thanks.

Orientation Parade

Overdued pictures since last Friday.
Credits to Liqin the Mama!

All who were involved in the parade~!

This picture is so screwed.
Thanks alot Feei!

Zzz.

(Yay so much better!)

Girls Contingent with our Ma’ams!

The above 2 pictures were supposed to be the Part Bs and Cs with their respective specialists.

Heh but Qiaowei and I just went to take picture with both! Woohoooo~

 Charlie  DELTA FTW!!!!

I’m hungry.

And today’s Little Nyonya’s last two episodes!!

 Bye.
