Anyway, today was picnic with Delta at Hort Park~!

Though Liqin and Feei didn’t go D: but well we still had fun eating, basking under the sun playing Game of LIFE and taking pictures!

Great movie that’s worth catching like seriously!!

It’s been long since a horror movie actually SCARED me and kept me holding my breath and grabbing my bag.

The Ganush woman was freaky lah what the hell.
I get freaked out whenever she appears (though I would laugh at myself after that).
Although it gets funny when I realised how she always aimed the main lead’s mouth and started vomitting disgusting things inside or stuck half an arm inside.

HAHAHAHA.

The movie is really SCARILY FUNNY.

The ending was kinda unexpected for me actually: I THOUGHT IT’D BE A HAPPY ENDING WHERE SHE WOULDN’T DIE! ):

The sound effects were a blast man (pun intended).
Like OMG, sometimes they get so loud that I really felt like covering my ears like what the characters were doing.
And there was this once it got so bad that I could feel the cinema shaking :/

Ahhh whatever it is, IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THIS YET, GO WATCH IT!

 

Wah I miss the feeling of getting freaked out man. The most recent horror movies I watched before this were The Uninvited and Coming soon, and they made me slouched in my seats, which was bad :/
Though I must admit (embarassingly) some cheap scares caught me off-guard zzz.

Okay I shan’t critic on the movie because if I do, I would take at least another 2 hours to complete my blog post.

Was really astonished and asking Alvin a lot of questions during the movie cos the movie changed some parts of the plot and made it really different

You know I don’t mind if they cut some things out cos every movie that is adapted from the book has some parts cut out.

But merging 2 important characters into 1 is unacceptable!!
Whatever happened to Kohler and Olivetti?!
Olivetti was supposed to be the Head of Swiss Guard, not some noob police that got killed!

And the facts from the book were twisted.

One piece of advice, (actually two)

1. Watch it if you haven’t read the book. Cos my friends who didn’t read the book told me it’s really awesome.

2. Don’t watch it if you’ve read and love the book. Or maybe you can watch it and see how much it has changed :/

 

The effects were not too bad though

Both sound and visual was good. Good enough to engage me.

But perhaps it was because I knew how the story proceeds on, I didn’t felt surprised or whatever when I was watching the movie,
of course, minus the parts whereby they changed the plot.

Ratings: 3/5 stars

After that went to Alvin’s house to discuss some interact club matters.

It was crazy cos we took bus 912 back and it was raining goats and horses and we don’t have umbrellas -.-

So we had to run across the road once the traffic light turns red.

Walau stupid Alvin ran without giving Veron and I warning.
Then we started screaming and ran with him and my shoe dropped out in the middle of the road zzzzz.

Reached his house and his nephew is damn cute, as usual

Had PVC discussion with Veron at first cos there were too many things to be settled.
There was supposed to be meeting today but it was cancellled -.-

Zzzz I swear I got really pissed and pek cek the more I discuss about PVC.

So many things to do with so little people and so little time.

I was seriously in the mood to flame and blast at anyone at that time.

Went back to my house to send email to everyone (cos Alvin was mapling and refused to let us use his computer -.-) and then brought mahjong tiles over!! WOOHOOO

The last time I went over to Alvin’s to play mahjong with Weichen and Yijin I brought the newest one.

Today I decided to bring the one that’s stored in a Julie’s biscuit box.

I think the tiles were some ancient tiles.

My method of celebrating that holy day was to head down to Xinmun’s house with Gayle for rented movies, oven-toasted pizzas (that tasted quite uncooked at the bottom) and popcorn!

 
Some joke happened at Video Ezy but we finally got our movies in the end

 

 

Not too bad a movie~

Interesting plot with a nice twist.

But would be better if more action were involved!

 

I WATCHED HALFWAY AND LEFT FOR PVC2 MEETING AT CLEMENTI D:

It wasn’t too bad considering I like watching people dance.

Today was spent stoning in class, sleeping during assembly talks, rfsc@clementi with Veron and dinner with her and Sis.
Chinese lesson was like the best man.

LKC just had to ask me “Do you think you wrote correctly?” and it ruined my entire day.

Okay no, actually I knew long ago, instantly after I finished writing my essay, that I would fail my essay.
So whatever don’t care.

I die also must pass O level HCL this year. I DON’T WANNA TAKE CHINESE AGAIN.

Not that I HATE Chinese, in fact I like speaking Mandarin.

But I can’t for god’s sake write an essay or do comprehension or anything like that.

 

Assembly talk was some rubbish.

 

Headed down to Rotary FSC to play with kids after school.

Well no, Interact has not changed back to doing RFSC for ongoing service, but rather my PVC group went to find RFSC for our service. :/

Felt quite paiseh too cos we were the ones who rejected to offer our help to that place.
(Although I don’t mind helping out there lah~ I thought it was pretty fun)
I must say,

kids now are WEIRD.

Really weird.

LOL Veron and I both freaked out with a few of them.
The last time (Year 2) I went there they weren’t like that! The kids were innocent and well, kids.
This time round I went back and the new kids have girlfriends and boyfriends and kiss and knows what sex and cock and zomg my blog needs to be rated if I continue typing on.

 

But nevertheless, the kids are super duper cute!

Wenhao even wanted to bring Veron home!

Actually, the more I look at the this poster the more I don’t see how this is linked to the movie.

But it’s alright cos the movie wasn’t that bad after all.
The twist at the end made me sit up and paid attention to the details when they were explaining the whole story all over again,

which was quite refreshing I thought cos initially I got quite bored with the story, thinking everything was predictable and going with the flow.
The parts which they were trying to scare us wasn’t freaky either (Although I jumped up at the part where the woman slammed her hand on the car window -.-).
The movie’s not exactly out yet, so I shan’t be a spoiler.

All I can say is, don’t fall asleep and watch till the end

The good girl that gets bullied is not always the damsel in distress and the slutty looking one is not always the devil.

 

One plus point about this movie : The actresses are super hot.

Today’s YOG launch in school was okay lah.

Nothing much.

The “march pass” thing was pretty crappy.

Many people were just strolling across with the “why the heck are we doing this” face.

Then the torch relay was nothing really.
At first I was anticipating it to be some very magnificent thing.
I mean Mr C Kunalan is running leh!

In the end I got blocked by everyone else and saw people’s backs instead.

But at least I got to see Miss Ek run!

Alright, since I’m currently waiting for my downloads to finish,

shall update on the recent horror movie that I watched.

 

It could have been scary if

1. the two girls would stop screaming like the whole theatre’s theirs
2. Veron would stop holding my arm and kept saying “Eh it’s coming it’s coming!!” and hide her face on my shoulder

HAHAHAHA. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout the movie please.

Anyway the girls who scream behind us damn powerful.

The first time I heard them scream both Alvin and I thought it came out from the movie.

And they were practically screaming all the time.
Whenever the ghost showed her face they screamed.
Then we would burst out laughing.

I swear it was super hilarious!

Alright despite all these, I thought that the movie was quite well done.

Nice storyline with an unexpected twist at the end which made me sit up and want to carry on watching somemore.

The ghost was ugly as usual.
(I always have the impression Thai ghosts were ugly.)

But frankly speaking I didn’t  felt scared because many parts where the ghost would appear were quite expected (the result of watching too many horror movies).

The only parts that freaked me out were the gorging out of eyes and when the male lead tucked his bag but in actual fact he tucked the ghost’s hands and he was actually carrying the ghost (!)

 Even at the end where the ghost made the final “Do you really want to see me die?!!?” when the credits came out were rather anticipated.

 

Go catch the movie before it ends very very soon!!

Yesterday – CNY Celebrations!

School was pretty lame cos we had an hour and twenty minutes of supposedly Math lesson.

Ended up as a gossip/game session with some of my classmates

Don’t ask me why girls like to gossip so much. We just do.

After that the Interact Excos received a very first minute sms telling us to attend to the elderly (note: Elderly, not elderlys or elderlies. HEY I DO LISTEN IN F GOH’S CLASS ALRIGHT).

 

Being in the Interact Club allows me to learn many things.

 

Yesterday I learnt that I suck at interacting with the elderly.

Zzzz.

Wuyi and I were trying bloody hard to understand what they were trying to tell us cos most of them couldn’t speak Mandarin or English.
And they spoke hokkien.

I only understand Cantonese.

Today! – CIP?

Travelled all the way to BUKIT MERAH on bus 961.

Killer ride (it was super long, though I was sleeping throughout).

It was weird when we got off the bus.

I only had one thought,
“I want to grow 40 years older. Right now.”

 

The average age of the people we saw there were around 50 plus can -.-

Alvin and I totally stood out like ducks around a bunch of chickens.

 

Okay that was supposed to be a translation of some chinese idiom by the way.

 

We managed to find Blk 162 somehow and waited for the lift which took forever to come.

Heaven was playing a trick on us man.

We reached TOUCH’s office and it was closed -.-

So we went around the 5th floor trying to find if there’s any other offices.
And I got freaked out cos the place is like some haunted abandoned building zzz.

Later on someone came and told us the Character Development department is closed on Saturdays.

 

Damned.

 

(But turns out, Grace called the person IC and she said we could go over every saturday for the next 6 months to teach tuition~)

 

End up we went to have breakfast (and actually our lunch too) at the hawker’s.

 

Like I said being in  Interact Club teaches me many things.

Lesson learnt today :
Never eat with Alvin at the hawker’s again.

As usual, chatted quite a bit with him.

Okay actually I only suggested to walk to Parkway Parade cos we ate so much I want to burn off fats.

But we stupidly walked one big round around some Henderson buildings and ended up back at the same place.

So we decided to just walk straight and go to Vivo.

 

It was insane,
I shall go check the directory and see how far we walked later.

It’s really really funny, despite the strong Malaysian accents and mixture of dialects,

Stephen King’s officially my idol.

I’m going to ditch Cleo and read all his books and I’m going to watch all the movies based on his novels.

 

 

I just finished watching “The Mist”.

Hell, I was practically screaming and shouting vulgarities in my room.

Thank goodness no one’s at home (phew).

 

It was really horrible with the mist fogging up the whole town,
huge spiders and god-knows-what-that-hideous-looking-thing-is killing and eating up people,
some stupid woman trying to psycho everyone to believe her preachings etc.

And then the ending was really sad cos Thomas Jane and his comrades decided to commit suicide.
Thomas Jane took the gun and shot down everyone, including his own son ): and when he was about to kill himself he realised there were no more bullets (!)

Then he got out of his car , asked that monster to eat him up.

Guess what?

Went JEC to makan and library with shirleen, shuwei, liqin and feei for a while where the only thing I did was to read a few chapters of the chinese book which I’m supposed to have a test on tomorrow.

After that met up with some classmates for a movie!

 

Okay I know this is not the usual type of movie I would watch cos I usually watch either comedies, thrillers or horror movies.

Story plot wise, I think it’s only average?

Mum got into affairs with 3 men when she was young and gave birth to a daughter.

20 years later daughter is getting married and found mum’s old diary.

Daughter wanted to find out who’s her Dad and invited all three men to her wedding.

3 men had no idea if she was their daughter, neither does the Mum know which was the man she had her daughter with since she dot dot dot with all 3 men at the time.

 

Moral of story: Do not get involved with pre-marital sex (!)

At least not with so many at one time hehehehe.
 

This movie’s not much of a comedy either.

Romance.

Hmm, not really.

 

What really kept me awake throughout this movie were the songs and the actors.

Can you believe it, I’m actually listening to ABBA now!

And the actors are freaking good with the songs! Grr how can they possess such great vocals?!

I’m bloody jealous.

(For some reason I think the actors sound better than ABBA. Hmm.)

Went to the Omni theatre with 13 other year 3s and a whole bunch of year 1s to watch this (!)

 

It’s my first time at the Omni-theatre.

The “screen” was HUGE.

Like literally the whole wall in front of you is the screen.

It’s best if you can lie down and watch,

kind of an impromptu decision cos me and germ were supposedly to make class tee with the welfare reps today at orchard.

what happens in vegas (you can skip this part if you want to )

storyline : 4/10

too cliched.
jack is a super not serious guy (who, like typical guys, thinks about sex all day) and one day he got fired by his own dad.
joy got dumped by her boyf before the planned birthday party for him even actually started.

both of them were darn sad and decided to go to vegas,
where, according to them, IT’S A PLACE TO ESCAPE AND FORGET YOUR WOES.
it’s just a country-wide casino, really.

they met somehow (shan’t reveal too much details) and got really drunk and somehow got married and slept with each other.
so next morning, joy wakes up and argued with jack at the casino.
jack got really fed up and played the jackpot with joy’s dime.
AND IT WAS SUCH A FREAKING COINCIDENCE COS HE STRIKED THE JACKPOT (god damn. like how many jackpots can be struck within a zillion years?!)
so 3 million dollars,
and they were fighting who gets the money.
in the end joy said “you forgot, we are married. what’s yours is mine.”

so they ended up in a lawsuit and they were sentenced to get married for 6 months.
then they get the money if they can persevere.

next was all the old and boring stuff.
girl hates boy boy hates girl.
girl fights boy boy fights girl.
they were constantly thinking of ways to make the other party lose the lawsuit.

at the end of 6 months,
girl likes boy boy likes girl.
and everything ends happily.

funny level (sorry i know this is a horrible use of vocab) : 7/10

if it wasn’t hilarious at parts, it would have totally bore me to death.
i’m not a sucker for romance movies.

overall : 5.5/10it would have been better if the storyline were more creative.
and,
they should get a prettier and younger female lead.
like !!!
the guy is so good looking and cameron diaz is old, like please.
she has wrinkles.

 

and though the movie was funny,
it wasn’t THAT  funny to have brought me to tears.
one movie did that.
i think it was fun with dick and jane.

or CLICK.

it would have been great if it was funny and touching at the same time.
CLICK and ROB-B-HOOD successfully made me laugh, tear and smile again at the end.
