TODAY’S MY BIRTHDAY WOOHOOO I’M 16 AND I FEEL OLD! :O

Thanks to every single one who either smsed, im-ed me on MSN or wished me happy birthday in person!!

Really made my day!! WOOOHOOO~

My day today was spent with:

1. Liqin in the morning at Vivo’s starbucks where we talked quite abit and she gave me like, THE BEST PRESENT I COULD EVER ASK FOR

HAHAHAHA no lah no lah Liqin, I was kidding (you know what I’m talking about~) BUT ANYWAY THANKS FOR THE SCRAPBOOK!
I’m really very touched.
Just that never cry only.

2. Xinmun and Gayle at Gayle’s hometown, HOLLAND V.
Ate lunch, talked, walked around Holland V and ate ice cream at Cold Rock!
Woohoooo it was a treat! THANK YOU TWO~~

That time I ate it in Aussie was better though, I think cos the weather there was a lot less cooler.
I brought it back to the hostel it still didn’t melt o.o

But the one I ate today, once I got it from the man, it melted :/

3. People who couldn’t think of a name but chose this one aka my ACE camp group mates.
Hahahaha we had meeting at Midpoint Orchard (which was really hard to find btw), which was kinda SAD cos it’s my birthday! :O

But it’s alright since meeting was quite funny! And Clement (Wee)’s magic trick is a scam really.

Though I thought it was cool initially.

Anyway caught the movie Drag me to hell with Delta after that!
 

Great movie that’s worth catching like seriously!!

It’s been long since a horror movie actually SCARED me and kept me holding my breath and grabbing my bag.

The Ganush woman was freaky lah what the hell.
I get freaked out whenever she appears (though I would laugh at myself after that).
Although it gets funny when I realised how she always aimed the main lead’s mouth and started vomitting disgusting things inside or stuck half an arm inside.

HAHAHAHA.

The movie is really SCARILY FUNNY.

The ending was kinda unexpected for me actually: I THOUGHT IT’D BE A HAPPY ENDING WHERE SHE WOULDN’T DIE! ):

The sound effects were a blast man (pun intended).
Like OMG, sometimes they get so loud that I really felt like covering my ears like what the characters were doing.
And there was this once it got so bad that I could feel the cinema shaking :/

Ahhh whatever it is, IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THIS YET, GO WATCH IT!

 

Wah I miss the feeling of getting freaked out man. The most recent horror movies I watched before this were The Uninvited and Coming soon, and they made me slouched in my seats, which was bad :/
Though I must admit (embarassingly) some cheap scares caught me off-guard zzz.

Headed down to Millenia Institute for their carnival with Delta because Sir Fahmy invited us to go!

For all those who don’t know him, he’s a really wacky person and never fails to make us laugh.
Anyway we finally found him after running into another group of NCC people at the canteen.

I think MI looks kinda nice. So much better than our current campus.

Sir Fahmy then went on to bring us around his school.

After PVC2 meeting yesterday at Lot 1 Macs (Shit I just remember I need to type minutes),

Veron and I went to Clarke Quay for

 

 

 

Initially I was still having some reservations about going because of various reasons but then aiya since yesterday was Vesak Day I told myself to do a good deed and accompany Veronwee to go.

 

There was NOTHING MUCH over there :X
Flea Titan was a lot better.

Although the music inside played by these 2 girls were quite good.

Too bad I didn’t know any RI or HCI interact club people. Otherwise at least can chat chat a bit, then won’t feel the trip was a wasted one.

We were sitting on the steps and started to play Stress, only to realise there’s something called Wind over there which blows all my cards away.

Damn funny we were so noisy I didn’t even hear my phone ring. Zzzz.

 

After that had dinner and a movie and went home.

Star Trek surprisingly kept me awake throughout.
Although I was quite confused at first :/

Usually I won’t understand this kind of Sci-fi or fantasy movies,
plus the super comfortable seat and air-con,
it’s not difficult to make me sleep. Woohoo~
But well, half the time I was staring at that Jim guy. Veron agrees with me he’s not bad looking

Feeling weak and sickly all over.

Congrats Joycelin, tomorrow’s start of term 2 and this is how you’re gonna  start it!

Urgh, I hate the miserable feeling of being ill.
Was stuck in bed for almost the whole day today (minus away the fact that I went to the cemetery early in the morning).

Came home and my cousins started playing the computer, don’t know what stupid games they were playing also.

So basically I just went to sleep and the next thing I knew,

I woke up at 5.00pm.

Skipped lunch. Hmmm not bad.

Friday was crazy.

Met out with Winnie and went to Bugis.

Damn crappy lah we didn’t had any money to shop at all!

But we ate at Sakae Sushi in the end.

 

 

I’m so gonna swear off sushi.

Even though the top two are my favourites (not forgetting unagi).

But I get disgusted whenever I think of sushi and Japanese food. Right, Winnie?

We were so bloody full that we decided to walk around and explore.

Walked all the way to Arab Street and whoa,

interesting place.

Didn’t take any photos over there cos it doesn’t seem like a photo-friendly place.

Right what am I talking about?!
How can that place not be photo-friendly when there are models and professional photographers with huge intimidating DSLRs snapping shots at the back alleys!

I think I was too absorbed by all the things I saw there that I didn’t manage to take any pictures. Zzz.

Initially we ONLY wanted to check up some graffiti, then somehow we got lost at this place where many people were smoking shisha

LOL I never knew there were this kind of business in Singapore -.-
Should explore around Singapore more often.

After finding our way out from that place, we headed down to City Hall~

Saturday

CIP at Queenstown CC in the morning.

My tuitee was Iffan!

I let him choose the exercises that he wanted to do heh.
Anyway he skipped the comprehension part, WHICH I HATE DOING TOO, so it’s alright.

He enjoys searching the dictionary and so the last 10 minutes I allowed him to look at the coloured pictures inside.
(I must be the nicest tutor ever~)

I felt a slight tinge of sadness (I have no idea why) when I saw him being so interested in the things and started asking me what is shoulder blade and thighs etc.

He’s P5 leh; shouldn’t be deprived of such knowledge one lo.

Sigh, then I started chatting with him and pretended to be interested in all the cartoons that he watched.
Hahahaha. Not bad, I can communicate with a kid!

After that I went to City Hall for PVC meeting.

Waited hell long cos apparently I went there an hour early.

The meeting was fine? I was made the secretary and treasurer somehow.

Hopefully all our plans will go on fine (!!)

Went town with Gayle Lau on Tuesday and WAS LATE.

Again.

Our original plan was to go thrift shopping after being inspired by last month’s Seventeen.

But hohoho merry christmas, I overslept.
Only woke up at 10.20am when we were supposed to meet at 10am.

So in the end we decided to just go town.

And heh, spent most of our time camwhoring at Youth Park

Woke up early in the morning for CIP at Queenstown CC with Alvin Yijin and Feei!

I got quite an abrupt shock when the person-in-charge there said there was an overwelming number of volunteers over there,

which also meant we won’t have a job -.-

She even suggested we go to Clementi to be mentors for the Sec 1s and 2s who’s gonna plan activities for the kids.

Hmmmm not very interested.
SOMEMORE IT’S IN THE AFTERNOON (!!)

 

Hahahaha we were thinking of going there super early next week so we’d snatch all the kids there to teach before anyone else gets them.

 

Okay lah, the teaching wasn’t very tough I guess.

The girl that I taught was very obedient one. So very easy to teach heh.

I found out that my house has 3 sets of mahjong when I was digging out the mahjong set to bring over to his house.

But I had to reach the Old Parliament House at 9am and I woke up at 8am this morning. 
That ain’t something very nice to hear.

Thank god Shereen and her dad offered to send me to Clementi MRT station after everything ended.

She has a good relationship with her family I realised.
Sigh I’m envious.

But sitting in her dad’s car is rather scary.

I sat beside these 2 RV girls on the train just now.

The way they talk about their History paper is just like how I would discuss shopping with my friends.
Girl 1 : Eh what did you write about the Gandhi?
Girl 2 : Oh the Satyagraha… (yada yada talks about hunger strike)
Girl 1 : OH YOU KNOW THE SATYAGRAHA! (continues in a very excited way)

Compare that with,

Me: Hey! You know there’s a sale at Levis?!
Friend : Oh the one that sells quality jeans? But it’s damn expenisive right…
Me: YEAH YEAH YEAH I TOTALLY WANT THAT PAIR OF JEANS I SAW THE OTHER DAY!

Not that I buy things from Levis’ ; I was just trying to illustrate how EXCITED they were talking about GANDHI.
