Hi,

yesterday was a bad bad day.

Early in the morning I was stumped when I realised that I may not be able to attend cadet officer course if the Thai protests continues on.
Cos the Chiang Mai trip in June will be canceled and brought to first week of November holidays.

D:

Then later in Math class I was demoralised when Mr L said “How come you do so long still at this question ah?”

D:

In Chinese lesson stupid Mdm L implied that I’m irritating.
(But walau eh I where got!!)

D:

And after I came home from PVC meeting, I was hoping for some concern from my parents.
Instead I was greeted with cold faces and stupid comments.

Apparently my Mum doesn’t approve of me being all busy and stuff like that. I don’t know about my Dad, but at least he doesn’t make any noise.

I don’t know how to tell my parents that I’m actually ENJOYING my life right now. I don’t mind being busy I don’t mind being tired. So long as my life is fulfilling I don’t mind sacrificing my sleep.

WHY ISN’T ANYONE SUPPORTING ME AT ALL! :O

I’m doing all these for my own self development.
Since my parents can’t give me all these and develop me into what I want to be,
why can’t they allow me in my pursuit?

*****

Sigh late for PVC mid point check already.

I finally found the root of what’s causing all the stupid emo in me!

I feel so relieved now.

But it’s hurting quite badly ):

******

Currently researching on mosses for Bio.

Damn, I hate studying on plants (I don’t know how to do half the assignment what do you think.)

And and I left my half done math worksheet in school!

I was supposed to hand it in today.
Zzz.

I seriously think I’m trying to destroy myself.

MID YEARS ARE IN 19 DAYS TIME!!

Not prepared not prepared not prepared.

I already failed my GPA last term. (thank god there wasn’t a meet the principal session)

If I still don’t do well this term,
that’s it.

Wave goodbye to my Chiang Mai trip.

*****

Today was the annual International Understanding Day organised by Interact Club (!!)

The atmosphere this year was just, well, different.

No one’s  to blame actually.

IF we really have to blame, blame it on the  board. The entire board is kinda screwed.

I’m sure everyone agrees with me.

But it was a good experience for everyone who were in charge of planning and running the event though.

Good job done guys!

Gonna step down from board very very soon :D

(Although my journey’s still not ending :X)

*****

Zzz I’ve got nothing to blog about.

The henna on my hand stinks.

Bye

PROJECT VIBRANT COLOURS PHOTOS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Posted in Project Vibrant Colours 2 by joycelinwong on April 13, 2009

“When was the last time you told someone how much you appreciate them?”

“When was the last time you took part in a record breaking event?”

- As quoted from http://www.projectvibrantcolours2.com/

Indeed, when was the last time?

Family.

When was the last time you ever said “I love you” to your family members and really meant it?

You parents are the ones who have gave you all you ever had;
they are also the people who had sacrificed their time and effort to raise you up.

Your siblings are the people that grew up with you.
They’ve been your playmates since young.
When your friends in school all decided not to friend you, they are the people you turn to.

Have YOU thanked them for  these?

*

Friends.

How many of your friends have come and go just like that?

They’ve definitely impacted your life in one way or another :
A good listening ear,
A shoulder to cry on,
A lunch buddy,
A tutor.

Have YOU thanked them for  these?

*

Now play a song, close your eyes, relax and think.

Think about how many people has left a mark in your life. Think about what they’ve done.

Have you ever acknowledged them?

WELL, NOW IS THE CHANCE FOR YOU TO DO SO!

(hahaha my main point is here)

Take part in Project Vibrant Colours 2 now!

As part of the project we are collecting photo acknowledgements which will be showcased at Vivo City on the 31st May.

The whole PVC2 is gonna piece all the photos that we’ve collected together to form a gigantic photo collage which we aim to break the Singapore record of the BIGGEST PHOTO COLLAGE EVER.

All you have to do is to follow these 3 steps:

1. Produce a 4R photo of the person (it doesn’t have to be a solo picture of the person)

2. Write your acknowledgements ON the photo itself (i.e. what you want to say to the person)

3. PASS IT TO ME!!

Alternatively, if you want, I can help you develop the photos :D

Just send the photographs to music-fanatic@hotmail.com.

30 cents per photograph and I’ll meet you up so that you can handwrite the messages on top.

This is not limited to my friends only.
Any random passerbys who happened to read my blog can do this too!

The important thing is to spread the love to people around you and make them feel appreciated~!

So what are you waiting for?

DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT NOW!

PS. Please contact me via MSN/email music-fanatic@hotmail.com if there’s any questions.
Contact number will be given if required.

emo strikes back

I’m feeling really empty on the inside right now.

And I have absolutely no idea why.

It’s a really bad thing to have this type of feeling y’know,
cos I’d end up gorging myself with food,
though it usually makes me feel better at the end.

BUT IT’S NOT WORKING NOW!

******

My day started in a rather queer manner after waking up from a dream involving these 2 people.

The thing is they’re not even supposed to appear in my dream at all! ):
Funny (as in funnily weird) things happened and aiya, couldn’t stop thinking about it throughout the day. Zzz.

Then…

Oh gosh I cannot think of anything else.

Damn it it’s all cos of the stupid dream!

******

I need a new strategy for PVC photo collection.

Shall advertise later on.

CIP today was,

crazy.

I reached pretty early and was assigned to 2 p5 girls.
One of them was very difficult to teach, and she didn’t want to do any of her Math homework.

Worse thing was her standard is very bad.

Before Feei came I nearly died trying to settle them down cos apparently they were talking and talking in another language which I don’t understand and they almost got into a fight with another guy.

And they started scolding vulgarities in their mother tongue.

In the end I just gave in to her and played “Math games” with her on the whiteboard,
which was mental sums actually.

Cost me 3 sweets.

Not that I really mind actually. Next times shall bring more.

*****

FLEA TITAN NEXT.

Feei and I had some trouble finding the LONG STAIRCASE leading to Mt Sophia at first. Thanks anyway Vale :D

Flea titan was held at Trinity Church if I’m not wrong.

Quite cool, some clothes in there are really nice!

And and I saw really nice vests inside zomg.

BUT BY THAT TIME I HAD NO MONEY ALREADY BOO.

However that place was really cramped and squeezy so the shopping experience is quite bad lah.

If you are a real buyer/digger you can find some cool shit inside though.

****

Left for EXCO meeting at 5pm.

It was surprisingly fun I thought, don’t know what’s wrong with me.

Never mind me.

Okay time to sleep.

a joke

After today’s PVC meeting I was walking back to JE MRT station with my group mates when suddenly Feei called me.

Feei: Hello Wanzhen ah.

Joycelin: Huh I not Wanzhen leh, I’m Joycelin.

Feei: Oh yeah sorry. Joycelin ah. I very confused now ah paiseh. I thought tomorrow got CIP, how come you say meet at JE at 10am?

Joycelin : Huh?! I where got…

Feei: EH SEMULAH~ Why you say….

Joycelin: WHAT? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH.

I swear it was super hilarious can, couldn’t stop laughing.

Then my group mates thought I talking to my boyfriend -.-

Yay after CIP tomorrow will be outing with platoon mates!! :D

Then after that is exco meeting at Grace’s house.

Wooohooo busy Joycelin!

So damn beautiful

Lyrics are crap though.

******

Pulau Semakau!

I think photo is beautiful

Class photo is not complete though D:

Yesterday was learning journey to Pulau Semakau landfill!

It was more of a camwhoring session though~ Took 200 photos altogether heheheh.

But that place is so scenic! I would kill myself if I forgot to bring my camera along.

Reached the island and we had a presentation by this guy

Captain Edward o.o

Must admit he’s a great speaker.

Very knowledgeable and hilarious.

And our class was super participative, going “WOW” whenever he mentioned some figures. HAHAHA.

Oh do you know,

that our one and only landfill is actually man-made?!

HOW COOL IS THAT.

But we need to reduce the amount of waste we produce already cos this landfill can only last till 2045!

*

Edward: We tried increasing the land area of this landfill by spending a lot of money to buy huge boulders from Indonesia. But when we put them there (in the sea), they rolled by to Indonesia. Not literally roll back, but got carried by the currents…

Weisheng: Then you all don’t put the rubbish in the rocks and let it roll back to Indonesia?

Edward: (gives an WOW look) OH…URM WOW! So you mean you dig a hole in the boulders, put the rubbish in, put the cover back and let it roll back to Indonesia? WOW!

*

This was only one of the stupid comments Weisheng made.

But it was super funny lah, the whole class was laughing throughout the whole presentation

*****

After the presentation we went to take this guided bus ride around the island.

This stupid thing is a freaking 2 million dollars.

What it does is it can carry 5000kg of litter ash at any one scoop.

Landfills are not smelly at all actually.

Anyway below these beautiful grass and trees lie all the litter ash :D

Hahahaha Gayle and I got really bored and started camwhoring on the bus.

That was a failed shot by the way. Try spotting us.

This is the wind turbine that is currently powering 12 lamp posts. -.-

They’ve got big plans ahead though.

Yay reached!

Start of camwhoring session!

Germaine!

Aiya Xinmun why you stand so far away from me!!

Xiao Hui!

Shi Jia!

Mandy! Current crazy and random tablemate :D

Yijun! Lab partner :D

Heheheh cute Huijie!

I’m proud of this jumpshot that I took for them.

Woohooo 2 attempts only okay!

This was supposed to be an emo shot.

But someone had to scratch her butt at that moment *stares at Gayle*

HAHAHAHA.

Yay self timer shots ftw.

Miss Goh’s the best! :D

I love the sea!

Being her usual self.

On the ferry ride back, some interesting things happened. But well, shan’t disclose them. HEH

End of trip.

*****

After that I went to HQ to meet my platoonmates~

57TH CADET OFFICERS POP!!

Congratulations Shuyun! Have to call you Ma’am already~~ hahahahaah.

*

It was kind of freaky when I walked over there myself cos there was this stretch of road after you cross the drain that has no lights AT ALL.

Then at the end it was so dark you couldn’t see anything. Just pitch black.

Thank goodness I remember there was stairs over there otherwise I think I could have tripped because I ran across the dark area :/

*

We kinda camped outside YCK MRT station after the whole thing ended cos Shirleen lost her wallet and ran back to HQ with Qiaowei and Feei.

What was even more scary was when they came back and Qiaowei and Feei both claimed they saw this creepy silhouette sitting on a tree.

And guess where was that tree.

It was at that dark spot which I ran across earlier.

Oh god.

******

Zzzz it’s raining and my running plans are dashed yet again.

AND I’M ALONE AT HOME ):

Never mind PVC meeting later on~~

:D

I finally found out what’s wrong with my windows live messenger and solved the mystery of not being able to sign in for the past 2 days.

My password is wrong.

*****

Today’s YOG launch in school was okay lah.

Nothing much.

The “march pass” thing was pretty crappy.

Many people were just strolling across with the “why the heck are we doing this” face.

Then the torch relay was nothing really.
At first I was anticipating it to be some very magnificent thing.
I mean Mr C Kunalan is running leh!

In the end I got blocked by everyone else and saw people’s backs instead.

But at least I got to see Miss Ek run!

FSD girls performed again today!!

Some screw ups here and there
but apparently most of the school couldn’t spot the mistakes so it’s alright.

:/

*****

Alright, since I’m currently waiting for my downloads to finish,

shall update on the recent horror movie that I watched.

It could have been scary if

1. the two girls would stop screaming like the whole theatre’s theirs
2. Veron would stop holding my arm and kept saying “Eh it’s coming it’s coming!!” and hide her face on my shoulder

HAHAHAHA. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout the movie please.

Anyway the girls who scream behind us damn powerful.

The first time I heard them scream both Alvin and I thought it came out from the movie.

And they were practically screaming all the time.
Whenever the ghost showed her face they screamed.
Then we would burst out laughing.

I swear it was super hilarious!

Alright despite all these, I thought that the movie was quite well done.

Nice storyline with an unexpected twist at the end which made me sit up and want to carry on watching somemore.

The ghost was ugly as usual.
(I always have the impression Thai ghosts were ugly.)

But frankly speaking I didn’t  felt scared because many parts where the ghost would appear were quite expected (the result of watching too many horror movies).

The only parts that freaked me out were the gorging out of eyes and when the male lead tucked his bag but in actual fact he tucked the ghost’s hands and he was actually carrying the ghost (!)

Even at the end where the ghost made the final “Do you really want to see me die?!!?” when the credits came out were rather anticipated.

Go catch the movie before it ends very very soon!!

*****

DINNER TIME.

Byebye!

PS. Can’t wait for Pulau Semakau tomorrow. It’s been ages since I last went on a learning journey.
